Pizza Hut is advertising for more than 30 staff to work in a new restaurant in Derby.
The American franchise is looking for team members, as well as delivery drivers and riders, to work at its forthcoming venue in Osmaston Road, Allenton.
An opening date has not yet been set for the outlet, which would replace the former Al-Nawabz takeaway, which is next to a Co-operative convenience store, at the junction with Mowbray Street.
Pizza Hut sells a variety of pizza and pasta dishes, as well as sides and desserts such as ice cream and salted caramel cookie dough. They also do delivery.

News that the business was looking to open an outlet in Allenton first emerged last month, when it lodged a planning application with Derby City Council to install illuminated signs on the front of the building.
The city council has now approved those plans – and Pizza Hut is now recruiting workers through its careers website – www.careersatpizzahut.co.uk.

Pizza Hut would open in a former takeaway in Osmaston Road
“You get to work across both the reception and kitchen. This role is a great starting point for a Pizza Hut career too. Lots of our managers worked their way up from team member.”

The firm’s advert for this states: “This is a job where with every passing day you get to learn and grow as a leader. If you impress, the role’s the perfect stepping stone to a general manager position in our expanding UK business.”
When it does open for business, the store could eventually end up facing competition from rival Dominos.
It has applied to open a third outlet in Shardlow Road, Alvaston. Derby City Council is still considering that application.
