Needing 282 to win, Durham closed on 36-0 with Michael Richardson on 29. Derbyshire were frustrated in the morning session as Durham’s tail pushed the visitors’ total past 300 after being 205-8 on day two.In reply, Hughes was one of only three Derbyshire players to reach double figures, with Luis Reece making 37 and first-innings centurion Matt Critchley scoring 28.
