With a salary starting at £42,000 and a flash company car thrown in for good measure you would be forgiven for thinking that such a generous package was being offered by a company like Rolls-Royce.
But you would be wrong. This is what value supermarket chain Aldi offers its graduate area managers – and the good news is, the German company is recruiting for these jobs.
The firm is looking for individuals to take the reins of their own store after just 14 weeks of training. But £42,000 is just the starting wage – according to Aldi, this will rise to £73,450 after four years.

And it doesn’t stop there. Successful candidates will also receive a fully-expensed Audi A4. And according to Aldi, the job offers the chance to travel across the world.
The firm is looking across the country for potential candidates and has a 12-month programme that targets recent graduates who are required to have received a grade of at least a 2:1 in their respective university degree.
Aldi now has hundreds of stores, including this one at the Meteor Centre in Derby.
But as well as having a degree, the firm said applicants must be hardworking and have a “never-give-up” attitude. Aldi said: “This is for determined, confident graduates who thrive on adrenalin and look tough challenges directly in the face
